I have been in the health and medical industry for over 30 years. I was born with a hole in my heart so I have always had a passion for fitness and health. I started Fit Mind n Body after working in medical sales and realized I would rather help keep people out of the operating room, if I could, after I saw what happens in there. I spent time searching out modalities that actually help people by trying them on my own injuries. I earned my Master of Science in Exercise Science from Cal Poly, Pomona and my Massage Technician Certification from Mueller College of Holistic Medicine. I have training in NMR-Neuromuscular Re-education, Myofascial Distortion Model, and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnostic and Therapy that assesses back injuries. I'm a master trainer for TP Therapy. My goal is to treat the cause and not the symptom of my client's injuries and pain. I do that using ARP POV Neurological Soft Tissue Therapy, Bemer PEMP, muscle work, trigger point rolling, supplements and nutrition. My goal is to get my clients pain-free, feeling their best, and back to their daily activities or sports as fast as possible.
I'm a NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, have a MBA from USC, and am the Co-owner of Fit Mind n Body. Being an avid backpacker, fly fisherman, and mountain biker, along with weight training, has kept me in shape over the years. I have also incorporated daily Trigger Point Rolling to control muscular migraines and have not had one in 7 years now due to the rolling. I went from being an equity trader to a trainer because fitness and being outdoors is my passion. I got tired of the stress and sitting behind a desk, so I decided to do what I have always loved...incorporating the outdoors into workouts and helping others get into shape or reach their fitness goals. I believe that age does not matter, you can be fit at any age if you want. I also believe that you have to make fitness fun and functional. Our bodies change throughout life and we have to change our exercise and eating habits accordingly. As you age, you can't out run a bad diet. I would be happy to help you be fit at every age as well!
